Lead the development of high-volume electronics and firmware for solar concentrator product. Work with systems engineering and R&D to implement algorithms and sensing approaches developed by those teams. Develop and execute a thorough test plan for the electronics and firmware. Develop detailed documentation. Support Integration & Test as-needed with electronics and software to provide needed data acquisition and control functions for laboratory or rooftop testing. Requirements BSEE, 5+ years experience. Component selection and specification experience. Experience with low-cost, low-power microcontroller-based systems, digital electronics, high-volume, high-reliability, long-life electronics, high-volume firmware, software and hardware release management. Experience working with, and specifying to, contract manufacturers, familiarity with manufacturing and testing standards, hands-on testing and prototyping.
