| We have an immediate need for a Member of Technical Staff in our DC, Switched Mode Power Supply Design Engineering Group. You will direct and perform complicated engineering work exercising independent judgment and action. Directing and performing applied research, design, development, testing, and documentation of products or systems will be involved. You will work directly with customers to understand equipment/system requirements and ensure the best solution for the application(s). You will also provide direction and mentor engineers and cross-functional colleagues. Internal and external contacts are leveraged to resolve significant matters and influence strategic direction. |

| Requirements |
 |
| 1.MSEE (required) or PhD (desired)
2.10+ years of experience with high power(10kW +) switch mode power supplies; preferred experience with plasma loads
3.Hands on experience and deep understanding of thermal management, magnetics design, power semiconductors and their applications
4.Understanding of complex analog and digital control strategies
5.Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6.Customer interaction - partnering with Product Marketing to define high level architecture and product requirements
7.Familiarity with DFX, FMEA, reliability calculations and methods is a plus.
8.Experience with simulation tools (MATLAB, Simulink, Saber preferred)
Experience should also include, thermal analysis, mechanical packing and EMC related skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment, product development/transfer to manufacturing, spec /report writing, are definite assets. About 10% of the time may be involved with international travel.
