| Our client leads the industry in the Power Management field and offers state-of-the-art power management products using advanced tools and technology. As a member of the Power Management group, you will work with analog ICs and system level products that are designed for multi-market applications.
In this Applications Engineering role, you will be responsible for the design and development of system-level products including switch-mode power supplies. Other responsibilities include technical support and implementation of customer applications and company products.
As a Power Applications Engineer, you will define next generation power supply controller integrated circuits, design AC/DC, and DC/DC constant voltage, and constant current power supplies. You will assist customers to design-in our client’s ICs for their applications by providing technical information.
Other duties will include characterization of new ICs in typical power application circuits and authoring applications notes, articles for trade publications, and new product data sheets.

| Requirements |

| The successful candidate must have a working knowledge and design experience with multiple power converter topologies, magnetics, compensation, component selection, circuit board layout and thermal management. Familiarity with Pspice, Mathcad and MS Office software is desirable. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, are mandatory.
Further responsibilities require your advanced level of expertise and contributions to advanced methods and techniques of the field. Developing solutions for problems that are not clearly defined. Providing solutions requiring ingenuity and creativity that often result in an innovative combination of existing knowledge or creation of new products or processes. Coordinating broad projects and ensuring adherence to established project plans, schedules, and budget. Planning project resources as required, providing technical guidance and leadership to other engineers.
The ideal candidate will possess a BSEE or equivalent with 6 years of related experience, or an MSEE or equivalent with 7 years, or a PhD with 4 years.
