Description
The Motion Control Engineer is responsible for design and development of advanced motor control algorithms for our client's portfolio of digital motion control ICs. Duties & Responsibilities Daily tasks will include: - Key contributor to our client's next generation digital control ICs. - Model and develop control algorithms for electrical motors and switching power converters. - Perform system simulation of control, power electronics and electromechanical systems. - Define control architecture and implementing real time algorithms. - Debug and test of control systems. - Work closely with other motor control specialists, SW engineers and IC designers in creating innovative solutions and realizing them into products.
Requirements
Hands-on experience of all, or some, of the following: - Simulation and development of control algorithms for permanent magnet motors. - Motor current measurement techniques, modulation schemes and data acquisition. - Controller system architectures. - Real-time control theory and time scheduling. - Implementation of control algorithms. This could be in the form of embedded firmware for microcontroller/DSP or Verilog for FPGA/ASIC. - System level understanding of power converter topologies used in AC motor drives. - Matlab/Simulink used for system simulation. -Vector control experience Education & Experience - M.Sc in Electrical Engineering - 5+ years of experience
