| Description |

| • Independent designs and verifications of a variety of low cost custom, standard, and modified standard dc/dc BMP products (isolated and non-isolated), as required.
• Conduct/Lead product development of leading edge dc/dc switch-mode power supplies
• Provide support and direction to management for product roadmaps and new product development
• Provide strong leadership
• Analyze operation of existing designs and synthesis of new product designs
• Generates schematics for own designs
• Specify test requirements for developed power supplies
• Oversees PCB designers; checks their work and modifies as appropriate
• Perform Tolerance and Stress analysis
• Perform FMA analysis on legacy as well as new products (both field returns as well as failures during DVT/EVT and UL testing)
• Prepare presentations for internal and customer design reviews
• Supervise and mentor lower level Engineers and Technicians
• Prepare project schedules
• Provide support to manufacturing facility for production ramp up of new products
• Conduct research on new circuits and methods
• Able to interface effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Assist in developing design automation methods and techniques
• Concurrently work on multiple projects

| Requirements |
 |
| Minimum Technical Requirements (may be tested at employer's discretion)
Experience required: 5+ years in power supply engineering environment. BSEE a must. MSEE or PhD preferred.
• Hands-on power supply design experience from 10W – 1KW
• In-depth knowledge of various power converter topologies: flyback, forward, half-bridge, full-bridge and push-pull converters, synchronous single and multi-phase buck converters
• In-depth knowledge of different control methods and feedback theory
• In-depth knowledge of synchronous rectification including self-driven as well as direct drive circuits
• Able to generate various engineering documentation; knowledge of engineering
documentation systems
• Working knowledge of applicable safety agency specifications
• Computer-literate using Mac or PC/Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Good communication skills
• Able to interface effectively with manufacturing as required
• Experience with SMT components
• Experience with SPICE simulation software or equivalent
• Able to create detailed design analysis documents
• Able to design power magnetics
• Potential for travel to offsite facilities 2 - 3 times per year
