| Description |
| In this role, you’ll actively maintain and drive all component specifications and qualification activities associated with switch mode, DC/DC, and power supplies that are critical to meeting product development and qualification schedules. Specific responsibilities include: Reacting to all component quality issues identified during the product development and/or the product manufacturing process. Driving all component-related quality issues to closure using the most expedient means (i.e., driving suppliers to effective corrective actions, recommending and implementing “special circumstances” screening methods, personally performing component failure analysis using internal/external resources, qualifying an alternative supplier). Communicating complex problems to less technical individuals within the organization. |
| Requirements |
| Hands-on experience with component level failure analysis techniques, as it applies to multi-layer ceramic capacitors integrity, semiconductor packaging, magnetics packaging, and printed circuit boards, is a must. Working knowledge of solder alloys and surface-mount solder reflow processing is highly desirable. The person in this position must have effective multi-tasking skills to manage multiple quality issues at any one time-including vendor interaction and component failure analysis. |
