Then this is the right challenge for you: as a Supplier Quality Engineer you will work with Process and Manufacturing Engineering teams to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.

In your new role you will:

· Manage portfolio of suppliers assigned by Supplier Quality Manager

· Work with Process and Manufacturing Engineering teams to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements

· Lead supplier quality audits to evaluate compliance to ISO Quality Management System, product quality controls, technology capabilities, process stability and ability to meet IR HiRel quality requirements

· Review supplier documentation, procedures, critical characteristics and inspection results across all areas at supplier location, supporting inspection and test status requirements defined by standards, engineering product specifications or Control Plans

· Review and identify supplier manufacturing risks and improvement potential. Initiate preventive quality actions when needed and follow-up of actions

· Promote the use of preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

· Inform and educate suppliers about IR HiRel supplier requirements and supplier performance objectives

· Qualify suppliers according to company standards and may institute a Certified Supplier Program when warranted

· Contribute in resolving product incidents and quality conformance issues

· Assist Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Manufacturing departments with supplier quality matters

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

· Minimum BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

· Experience in supporting design, development, manufacturing and/or supplier quality activities

· ASQ certification or ability to demonstrate proven results with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) with suppliers

· Certified Lead Auditor a plus

Desired Skills:

· Strong interactive skills, including written and verbal communication skills

· Strong ability to focus, prioritize and multi-task to drive tasks to closure in order to support customer commitments and business objectives

· Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and production process

· Supplier development and engagement

· Experience implementing Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) tools

· AS 9100/ISO 9001 quality system and process audit experience

· Familiarity with Electronics Standards, such as JEDEC, MIL-PRF-38534 or MIL-PRF-19500
